Research center - Mummy project.

 

The MUMMY Project is a research center , which is based in Milan, at the Fatebenefratelli Hospital . It is aimed at in-depth study of organic finds , in particular human mummies and animals through analyzes carried out with the most modern techniques of medical investigation, followed by a multidisciplinary team, able to retrieve all available information and to compare them in the landscape scientific reference .

The analyzes take place in full respect of the find and with all the guarantees of the total absence of risk for the same.

The aim is to restore identity, as complete as possible to the mummies investigated, completing the historical and cultural context from which they come. Specialists doctors provide their services outside of work commitments, without subtracting therefore time and attention to their patients. The halls and equipment of the hospital are involved in the days when they are not used for normal activities.
